Principal Investments are one of the enduring pillars of our operations. Investments are made directly on behalf of Rubicon Partners NFI S.A.
Our strategy with regard to Principal Investments is the result of the effort of our investment banking team and reflects our expectations concerning market risks, market opportunities and short-term market inefficiencies. We target a variety of investment opportunities, analyze the specific risk factors inherent
in industries and companies, and only then decide on the appropriate time and manner of proceeding with an investment. Our Principal Investment policy is by nature opportunistic – we seek to produce the greatest possible return by entering and ending an investment at the best possible moment
Our Principal Investment business encompasses the following asset classes:
- shares of public companies,
- shares of privately owned companies,
- properties,
- debt,
- distressed assets,
- derivatives.
Our Principal Investment policy allows investments in stocks and shares of our Clients, provided we obtain a clear consent by a Client and, above all, both the Client and Rubicon Partners unanimously agree that such an investment is beneficial for the Client. Transactions of this kind are individually negotiated and structured.
Proprietary trading in shares listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) forms a large component of our Principal Investment activities and remains a significant source of our profit.
